Why Rest and Adventure is a Non-Negotiable in my l Why Rest and Adventure is a Non-Negotiable in my life:

Getting rest, relaxation and a good measure of adventure thrown in has become a non-negotiable in my life.

And here is what happens when I do:

1. I’m recharged and renewed with creativity. It begins to flow out of me in abundance, and I’m ready to put something good out into the world.

2. Spending time with friends and family resets my priorities and reminds me of what is most important. I remind myself that it is people who matter the most and enrich my life, not the tasks or accomplishments I achieve. The ones I love to the moon and back bring more joy, laughter, and love into my life. These are the moments that ultimately matter the most.

3. I’m not frazzled and overwhelmed by a busy season or calendar. I don’t miss important deadlines or get lost in a sea of “to do’s”. I come back clear, focused, and ready to spend time thinking about and creating what will make the biggest impact. I’m reminded of my purpose and what I’m being called to do.

4. My “to do” list gets shorter, not longer. I let mental clutter fall away or make room for what I really want and need.

5. I choose my time wisely. I realize what is no longer working for me and decide how I really want to live my life. Some things fall away. Others stay or new ones are created. Instead of haphazardly going about life, I choose. I choose knowing that my time is precious and deserves to be curated and well thought out.

6. I let go of the pressure of getting a certain measurement of results and get into the energy of play. A lighter effort, where I pray, listen, and act on where I feel the Holy Spirit is leading me to move. When God designs your path (and you follow), the effort is not as taxing and feels more fun and purposeful.

7. I do a few things for the fruit it produces and not a bunch of things that lead to exhaustion and fruitfulness. God rested. We can too.
A beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! My A beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

My heart is filled with gratitude for all that God has brought into my life this year.

As I sat in Adoration this week, two chapters in the book of Psalms came to me.

Psalm 33 and Psalm 65. Both are Psalms of Thanksgiving to Almighty God.

I encourage you to take a moment and read through one or both.

It gets to the heart of what today is about better than any Instagram post or Hallmark card.

May God's peace and blessings be with you all!

Who are your people? The Lord tells us that one of Who are your people? The Lord tells us that one of the greatest gifts we can have is true friendship.

"And let us consider how we spur another on toward live and good deeds, not giving up meeting together. Hebrews 10:24-25

The people you surround yourself will shape your life and who you are.

I had the trip of a lifetime with these lovely girls. Friends for more years than I could count, we laughed, cried, relived old memories and made beautiful new ones.

Cheers to all the women out there that help make us who we are, strengthen our faith, hold us up when life is hard, and celebrate with us in the best of times!

Get with your people. It matters.
